Assets
In Allo, an asset refers to the underlying investment or property that is being managed within a deal. Assets can take many forms, including:
Equity: Shares in a company
Real estate: Property or buildings
Alternative assets: Such as art, collectibles, or cryptocurrency
Financial instruments: Such as loans or bonds
Assets are typically held within a special purpose vehicle (SPV), which is a separate legal entity created to hold and manage the asset. The SPV is used to isolate the asset from other assets and liabilities, and to provide a clear and transparent view of the asset's ownership and management.
There are several types of assets that can be managed in Allocations, including:
Domestic assets: Assets that are located within the same country as the deal
International assets: Assets that are located outside of the country where the deal is located
Alternative assets: Assets that are not traditional investments, such as art or collectibles
Financial instruments: Assets that are used to raise capital or manage risk, such as loans or bonds
Assets are an important part of the Allocations platform, as they provide a way for users to manage and track their investments. By using Allocations to manage assets, users can gain a clear and transparent view of their investments and make informed decisions about how to manage them.
